What is HMB-Ca?

HMB-Ca is a supplement formulated with beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB), a metabolite of the amino acid leucine.

HMB is a compound produced as a result of the metabolism of the essential amino acid leucine. Leucine is one of the 3 amino acids that make up the BCAAS or branched-chain amino acids. Supplementation with HMB can be effective in decreasing muscle damage and protein breakdown. As a result, it improves the maintenance of muscle tissue.

HMB-Ca belongs to the Endurance line of supplementation, designed and formulated by Life Pro, especially for endurance sports.

The form of HMB used in Life Pro Endurance HMB-CA is in the form of calcium salt. 

Each serving provides 2.5 grams of HMB and 435 mg (54.4% NRV*) of calcium.

What are the properties of HMB-Ca?

A metabolite is a substance that is produced as a result of different metabolic reactions. HMB is a metabolite of leucine.

Supplementation with HMB has numerous benefits in the field of sports, especially in relation to the process of recovery and maintenance of muscle tissue.

Taking HMB aids the recovery process by supporting the maintenance of muscle tissue and preventing protein breakdown. This is because it activates a pathway called Mtor/pk. It will also benefit the recovery process following physical activity.

How to use:

Dissolve 6 g (1 scoop) in water or juice (200 ml - 250 ml). Take once a day, preferably after training.
