What is Heartcare?
Heartcare is a supplement that helps to control plasma cholesterol and triglyceride levels in people with hypercholesterolaemia and/or hypertriglyceridaemia, in addition to lifestyle and/or previously prescribed pharmacological approaches.
There is currently a high prevalence of cardiovascular diseases. A healthy lifestyle, a diet low in saturated fat, the elimination of toxic substances such as alcohol and tobacco and regular physical exercise are essential, in addition to pharmacological treatments,
Heartcare has been formulated and developed under the combination of active ingredients that have proven to be effective in lowering cholesterol levels.
The composition of Heartcare:
Turmeric (Cursol ®):
Turmeric is a plant used for its broad antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Curcumin is a polyphenol found in the root of the plant, which has been used in traditional medicine since time immemorial. It has a Cursol patent that guarantees its quality and bioavailability.
Turmeric not only has a direct effect on cholesterol levels, but can also be useful in controlling and regulating markers of oxidative stress.
Berberine is considered a supplement that significantly reduces metabolic and cardiovascular risk. Berberine is known to be the active ingredient of the plant Berberis Vulgaris.
Berberine can act at the hepatic level on proteins responsible for degrading different LDL cholesterol receptors and their expression. As a result, this process promotes a reduction in intestinal cholesterol absorption and an increase in fatty acid oxidation. It is a very interesting supplement for people with metabolic disorders due to blood cholesterol.
Red yeast rice (standardised in monacholine k):
On the other hand, in the scientific literature there are compounds with a large body of scientific evidence showing benefits in the face of high cholesterol levels. Firstly, among the best-known active ingredients is monacholine k, which is extracted from red yeast rice and acts on the enzymes involved in cholesterol synthesis.
Coenzyme Q10 acts as an antioxidant, offers protection to LDL cholesterol and prevents ageing. Monacholine k (or drugs with the same pathway) may increase the risk of myalgia due to coenzyme q10 depletion. For this reason, it has also been included in the product at a sufficient dose.
Policosanols act on the enzymes involved in cholesterol synthesis and enable the reduction of blood cholesterol. However, policosanols have a fermentative nature. As a result of this characteristic, they contain a substance known as citrinin, which can exert harmful effects on the body. In formulating this product, we at Life Pro have chosen a raw material with levels well below those recommended as values to be considered by the food authorities.
Policosanols would also improve cholesterol synthesis clearance and arterial plaque status.
