What is Silymarin?

Silymarin by Life Pro is a food supplement formulated with standardised silymarin from milk thistle, a plant traditionally used in different regions of Asia, Europe and India.

Silymarin has been formulated with standardised active ingredients: dry extract of milk thistle (Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn., seed) 80% silymarin and 30% silybin.

Its main effects are due to its silymarin content. Silymarin contains various active ingredients, the most important of which is silybinin. Silybinin is responsible for its main effects.

Silymarin has been reported to have some positive effects on cholesterol, metabolic control, and various liver enzymes that may be altered. As a result, taking it may help control liver dysfunction and oxidative stress, as well as reducing the main symptoms of liver function degeneration.

Each capsule provides 416.5 mg of dried milk thistle extract, including 333 mg of silymarin and 125 mg of silybin.
